How to safely remove 19mm sensors from their installation spot

Removing sensors can be delicate, but with the right approach, it can be done without causing any damage.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you safely remove them, ensuring they remain functional for future use:

  1. Prepare the Right Tools:
Before you start, we advise having the proper tools on hand. The best tool for the job is one with a square hole matching the dimensions of the sensor. This will allow you to securely grip the sensor without applying excessive force. If such a tool isn't available, seek an alternative that closely matches the sensor dimensions (19mm), like a wrench or spanner.
  2. Avoid Using Sharp Tools:
Never use knives, screwdrivers, or similar sharp tools to pry off the sensors. These tools can easily cause irreparable damage to the sensors.
  3. Twist Gently:
Begin by gently twisting the sensor back and forth. This helps to loosen the adhesive holding the sensor in place. Be patient and apply steady, gentle pressure to avoid breaking.
  4. Loosen Slowly:
Once the sensor starts to loosen, continue to twist and gently pull it away from the desk surface.

Consider Range Extenders:

When installing sensors, we recommend considering using range extenders. These devices not only enhance the sensor's connectivity but also make sensor removal easier without risking damage.
