Best practices for setting up your Studio account
Instead of creating additional Organizations, we strongly encourage users to consider using Projects. Projects are a powerful tool designed to help better organize the devices within the existing Organization. They serve as sub-level entities that allow you to group sensors for installations, sites, customers, or specific activities. By utilizing Projects, you can efficiently manage and categorize your devices without the added complexity of multiple Customer Accounts.
To organize your devices in Studio without creating additional Organizations, follow these steps:
- Sign in to Studio and open your Organization.
- Click the Project selection dropdown in the top-left corner of the Studio app.
- Select Create New Project to add a Project within your existing Organization.
- Add your sensors and Cloud Connectors to the new Project.
Benefits of using Projects instead of additional Organizations:
- Billing clarity: All billing and subscriptions are managed in one place.
- Efficient management: One subscription list, no juggling between multiple accounts.
- Simplified access: Users only need access to one Organization.
- Better data overview: All device data is visible in a single Organization view.
