There are several tools available to monitor the connectivity of your installed Cloud Connectors, ranging from built-in Studio views to API event subscriptions.
Who is this article for?
Studio users and platform developers who want to monitor or be alerted when Cloud Connectors go offline or have poor connectivity.
What do you need?
Monitoring options
Studio connectivity view
In Studio, you can view the connectivity history for each Cloud Connector over the last 30 days. Open the Sensors & Cloud Connectors module, select a Cloud Connector, and check its connectivity graph.
Alerts in Studio
Set up Alerts in Studio to receive an email notification when a Cloud Connector goes offline — either immediately or after a configurable delay.
Connection Status Event (API)
Subscribe to the Connection Status Event via the API to build your own logic for detecting when Cloud Connectors go online or offline. See the connection-status-event reference.
Cellular Status Event (API)
Subscribe to the Cellular Status Event via the API to monitor the cellular signal strength of your Cloud Connectors. A signal strength of 20% or more generally indicates a stable connection. See the cellular-status-event reference.
