The Wireless Proximity Sensor can detect objects that are removed or placed in front of the sensor. When the status is changed, the sensor transmits a signal wirelessly with SecureDataShot™ to a Cloud Connector (Gateway) that again relays a message to a cloud service.
At 15-minute intervals, the Wireless Proximity Sensor transmits a message notifying the system that it is present and operational.
The Wireless Proximity sensor also has touch functionality for simple installation and use.

How does the sensor work?
The sensor detects when an object is either put within 0-5 mm from the sensor or when it is removed again. When the status is changed, an ObjectPresentEvent event is raised.
Presence not distance
The sensors do not measure the distance to an object, it only measures if an object is present or not within 5 mm.
