There are two supported interactive card types to display and visualize humidity data from sensors: Single sensor cards, and Multiple sensor cards.
What you need
-
Permission: A user role of Project Developer or higher.
Single sensor card
To show humidity readings on a single sensor card, you can use either a Humidity sensor or a CO2 sensor.
In a 1x1 size, the sensor card displays only numerical values, including:
- the current humidity and temperature readings,
- maximum
- minimum, and
- average humidity and temperature readings
for the selected time frame (which can be adjusted in the upper-right dashboard corner).
When resized larger, the Humidity card displays a humidity and temperature graph, with the option to toggle each reading on or off by clicking the legend above the graphs.
You can also display the numerical values on the side of the graph as well by clicking the three dots and selecting "Hide/Show sensor status."
Please note that if you use a single CO2 sensor to measure and visualize humidity, you will only receive the current humidity reading, without the option to see historical, average, maximum, or minimum values. Resizing the card will not show a graph view of humidity or temperature readings, only CO2.
To get a graph view of the humidity readings from the CO2 sensor, you must use a Multiple sensor card. Visit our guide: How to display temperature and humidity readings from CO2 sensors on Dashboard graphs
Multiple sensor card
Multiple sensor cards can display humidity and temperature data from various sensors, which can include the same sensor type (e.g., only Humidity sensors) or a combination of the following sensor types:
Card | Sensor type allowed | Number of sensors allowed |
---|---|---|
Humidity card |
Humidity CO2 sensors* |
up to 10 sensors |
* Shows only humidity and temperature readings from the CO2 sensor when combined with Humidity sensors
A Multiple sensor card always shows a humidity and temperature graph, regardless of its size. You can show/hide each sensor's readings on or off by clicking the legend on the right side of the graph.
An example of a multiple sensor card consisting of Temperature, CO2, and Humidity sensors. CO2 and Humidity sensors will only show temperature measurements and exclude CO2 and Humidity data.
The legend's visibility can be changed by clicking the three dots in the upper-right corner and selecting "Hide/Show legend."
Creating a Humidity card
To add a new Humidity card, select Create new card:
- Choose card type (single or multiple sensors)
- Choose a name for the card (optional)
- Pick sensor(s)
- Set card size
- Click Add to dashboard
You will find the newly created card in the first available position on the dashboard.
