Is the sensor data encrypted?

All data transmitted between Disruptive Technologies sensors and the DT Cloud is end-to-end encrypted. This means your sensor data is protected during transmission and is only decrypted in the DT Cloud for the account that owns the sensor.

Who is this article for?

Anyone who wants to understand how Disruptive Technologies protects sensor data during transmission and storage, including customers evaluating security requirements or answering compliance questions.

How sensor data encryption works

Disruptive Technologies sensors use end-to-end encryption to keep your data safe:

  1. When a sensor sends data, it is encrypted before leaving the sensor.
  2. The data stays encrypted while it travels to the DT Cloud.
  3. The data is only decrypted in the DT Cloud for the account that owns the sensor. No other accounts can access or read the data.
