Common causes and solutions
The surface was not prepared before mounting
The adhesive will not bond properly to a dirty, dusty, or damp surface. Clean and thoroughly dry the mounting surface, then re-mount the sensor. If the original tape has lost its adhesion, use a replacement adhesive suitable for the surface.
The adhesive is not suited for the surface or environment
Different surfaces and environments (wet, cold, rough, etc.) require different adhesives. Refer to the Adhesives for different mounting conditions guide to select the right adhesive, then re-mount the sensor.
