Troubleshooting / FAQ
Q: My sensor stopped working. Is it covered under warranty?
A: It depends on when you purchased the device, whether you have an active subscription, and whether the failure was caused by normal operation within specification. Check your warranty status in Studio under the Sensors and Cloud Connectors Overview. If it shows "Covered until" with a future date, your device is still under warranty. Damage from magnets, extreme temperatures, mechanical impact, or battery depletion from heavy use is not covered.
Q: My subscription is active, but my warranty shows "Expired". Can I still get a replacement?
A: No. Warranty replacements require both an active subscription and an active warranty period. Once the warranty period has passed, replacements are no longer provided under warranty.
Q: I prepaid my subscription for 3 years. Does that extend my sensor warranty?
A: Yes, for sensors purchased on or after July 20, 2023, prepaying your subscription for three years or longer extends the sensor warranty to 36 months. For sensors purchased before that date, prepaying for two or more years extended the warranty to 24 months.
