How to return devices?
To return devices to Disruptive Technologies via FedEx, follow these steps:
1. Confirm the return with Disruptive Technologies
Make sure you have received confirmation from Disruptive Technologies before sending anything back.
2. Prepare the shipping label
The shipping fee is prepaid by Disruptive Technologies. One label is required for each package being returned. The return label is included in your replacement package, and an electronic version is also sent to you so you can download and print it.
3. Pack the devices
To ensure proper packing of the devices for return, follow these FedEx guidelines:
- Cushion it: Use Bubble Wrap® or similar air-cellular cushioning material to fill voids and prevent movement in the box. Zip-lock bags are also recommended for packing items. Unwanted transportation damage may cause false analysis results.
- Box it: If possible, use the box the device(s) came in. If not, find another sturdy outer box.
- Seal it: Apply at least three strips of packaging tape to the top and bottom sides of the box to prevent it from opening during transport.
- Label it: Remove or make unreadable any old labels on the packaging. Place the return label on the most visible side of the box so that the barcode is easy to scan. Write down the tracking number from the label. You will need it to track your shipment.
4. Send the package
There are two ways to send your return package:
- Drop-off: Drop off your pre-packaged and pre-labeled shipment at a FedEx retail location or FedEx Drop Box near you. Find your nearest location at FedEx Local.
- Schedule a pickup: Have the package picked up from your home or office. Visit your local FedEx website and navigate to Home > Shipping > Pickup Options > Schedule a Pickup.
5. Track the package
After sending your package, you can track its progress online using the tracking number from the return label. Visit the FedEx website for your country and enter the tracking number.
