If you see the "This Kit/Device has already been claimed" error when trying to claim a device in Studio, it means the device is already associated with an Organization. This article explains the possible causes and how to resolve them.

- The Kit ID or Device ID from the packaging or device label
Common causes and solutions
The device is already claimed in your Organization
The device may already be present in one of your Organization's Projects or in the Organization Inventory. Use the Identify Device feature in Studio to search for the device across all your projects.
The device was claimed by a different Organization
If the device was previously claimed by another Organization, it must be transferred before you can use it. A user with the Organization Administrator role in both Organizations can move the device into your Organization. Note that this will also transfer the subscription billing responsibility.
If this is not possible, contact DT Support with the Kit ID or Device ID for further assistance.
